Fontanes-du-Causse is a former French commune with 69 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitania region . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and the canton of Causse et Vallées . The residents call themselves Fontanois or Fontanoises.
Fontanes-du-Causse was merged with the municipalities of Beaumat , Labastide-Murat , Vaillac and Saint-Sauveur-la-Vallée to form the Commune nouvelle Cœur de Causse with effect from January 1, 2016 , and has been a commune déléguée there ever since .
