The Beffer is an approximately 8 km long right tributary of the Nette in the urban area of ​​the Lower Saxon town of Bockenem .

The brook emerges from the Lindenbach and the Sehlder Bach east of Mahlum . It flows through Mahlum, then crosses under the A 7 , flows west past Volkersheim and flows south-west of Schlewecke into the Nette.

Brown trout , Mühlkoppen , Schlammpeitzger and gudgeon are found in the Beffer. The minnow should be reintroduced.
