Mahlum is a district of the city of Bockenem in Lower Saxony . The village had 489 inhabitants on October 1, 2011. It is located directly on the A 7, about 1 km east of Bockenem.

On March 1, 1974, Mahlum, which belonged to the Gandersheim district , was incorporated into the town of Bockenem.
