Nice is a district of Bockenem in the Hildesheim district in Lower Saxony . The place had 423 inhabitants on October 1, 2011.
location
The village is situated in the north of Ambergau basin on the southern slope of the 219 m high vineyard.
history
Nice was first mentioned in a document dated October 26, 1234. It was exhibited on the occasion of a synod in Bockenem for the Lamspringe monastery . The noble family von Nette , who had owned the Junkernhof in Bockenem since 1404, pledged Castle Wohlenstein to Bishop Magnuns in 1446 .
On March 1, 1974, Nette was incorporated into the town of Bockenem.
Worth seeing
The Evangelical Trinity Church in Nette has a massive Romanesque tower with loopholes. They suggest that the church temporarily served as a fortified church . The nave with its distinctive corner cuboids and a hipped roof is considerably younger; as an inscription above the portal on the south side shows , it dates from 1731. The organ of the Dreifaltigkeitskirche was built by Johann Wilhelm Gloger .
Several well-preserved or renovated half-timbered houses are worth seeing in the center of Nette.

The federal road 243 runs through Nette . Buses run from Bad Salzdetfurth through Nette to Bockenem and back. A bus line leads over the Weinberg, Wesseln, Groß Düngen, Egenstedt to Hildesheim main station.
religion
In Ambergau the Evangelical Lutheran have parishes Bültum, Hary-Störy-Bönnien, Ilde, Cute and Upstedt together to Rectory Hary. The Evangelical Trinity Church is located in Nette. The Protestant community also runs a community library.
