Werder is a district of the city of Bockenem in Lower Saxony . On October 1, 2011, the village had 127 inhabitants. It is 2.5 km north of Bockenem and four kilometers from the east-running A 7 . The Rottebach flows through Werder and flows into the Nette on the northeastern outskirts .

On March 1, 1974, Werder was incorporated into the city of Bockenem.
