Belinda Reyers

Belinda Reyers (* before 1975) is a South African ecologist . She heads the GRAID program at the Stockholm Resilience Center , which deals with resilience in the Anthropocene .

Life

Reyers received his PhD in conservation biology from the University of Pretoria in 2001 . She then worked as a lecturer at the universities of Pretoria and Stellenbosch until 2004 . She then founded and led a research group on biodiversity and ecosystem services at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Stellenbosch, where she was also a senior scientist until 2015. In addition to her work at the Stockholm Resilience Center, she is an associate professor at Stellenbosch University .

Act

Reyer's research includes regional and international collaboration aimed at integrating knowledge about socio-ecological systems and their role in supporting resilient societies in the guidelines and practices of decision-makers.
