Benjamin Biehn (* 1979 in Marburg ) is a German screenwriter .

biography

Biehn, who attended the Martin Luther School in Marburg, then completed a degree in German and media studies in Marburg with the aim of becoming a screenwriter. During this time, the short film Martha was made in collaboration with Benni Diez , a student production at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , in which Monika Manz embodies Martha, a woman who is constantly criticizing her husband. In 2007 Biehn completed his screenwriting studies at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy with a diploma. The wrestling comedy Tag Team - through thick and thin , his diploma thesis, was nominated for the Hessian Screenplay Prize.

In 2008 Biehn took part in the first year of the Bavaria Film workshop . He provided the idea for the romantic comedy A Love as Strong as a Bear with Muriel Baumeister and Pasquale Aleardi , which came on television in 2008. Together with Robin Getrost and Uschi Reich , he wrote the script for the family film When Santa Claus fell from the sky, based on a book by Cornelia Funke . The script and its authors were funded by the FFA with an amount of 20,000 euros. The film, which will be released in theaters in 2011, received the rating “valuable” from the FBW and was awarded the children's and youth film prize and the 10+ rocket school film prize at the Lünen cinema . For the crime series Heldt with Kai Schumann in the title role, Biehn contributed two episodes in 2016 and 2017.

Benjamin Biehn has been living and working in Munich since October 2008, where he is a permanent writer at Bavaria Film GmbH and is responsible for concepts and scripts in the fields of film, series and internet spots.
