Benjamin P. Lange (* 1978 in Kassel ) is a German psychologist , linguist , communication scientist and media scientist . Life and education

Lange obtained the general university entrance qualification with a focus on biological technology in Kassel. After doing community service in a Kassel day care center for seniors, he studied German Philology / German Philology (with a focus on linguistics as well as in the areas of communication and media), English Philology / English Studies, psychology and biology at the University of Kassel ; He wrote his thesis in 2008 on communicative aspects of human partner choice. From 2008 to 2011, Lange also completed a doctorate in psychology at the University of Kassel, which he completed with an empirical linguistic and communication psychology work with Harald Euler with a doctorate in psychology. Since 2015, Lange has been working part-time as a naturopath for psychotherapy and communication coach. In 2018 he completed his habilitation to obtain the Facultas Docendi in the field of psychology at the University of Würzburg with the thesis "Speech, communication and media psychological phenomena from a life-history theoretical perspective" with Frank Schwab for Dr. habil .; He gave his inaugural lecture on language, communication and media from a biopsychosocial perspective. This was followed by the award of the Venia Legendi and the title of Privatdozent in the field of psychology. Research and Teaching

Lange conducts interdisciplinary research at the interface between psychology, linguistics, communication studies and media studies. He has already devoted himself to art and general cultural studies as well as medical / clinical topics. Lange has been working as a scientist and lecturer / lecturer since 2008, u. a. in the fields of psychology as well as linguistics and communication science. In addition to the University of Kassel, his positions include the University and the Frankfurt am Main Clinic, the University and the Göttingen Clinic as well as the Fresenius University in Frankfurt am Main and the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. Lange is currently working as a media psychologist at the University of Würzburg at the Human-Computer-Media Institute, where he was chairman of the institute's ethics committee for several years. He teaches there, among other things, in the media communication course . Lange teaches a wide range of subjects, including psychology, linguistics and communication studies, with a focus on the areas of basics of psychology, psycholinguistics, new / social / digital media and basics of communication, including media communication.
