Benjamin Swiczinsky
Benjamin Swiczinsky (* 1982 in Korneuburg ) is an Austrian animation film director.
Life
After graduating from high school in 2000 in Vienna , he studied journalism and theater studies at the University of Vienna from 2004 to 2006 . From 2006 to 2011 Swiczinsky studied film and media at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg . In 2011 he founded the group Neuer Österreichischer Trickfilm with Johannes Schiehsl and Conrad Tambour . Since 2007, Swiczinsky has been working on his projects mostly with the internationally award-winning composer and sound designer Alexander Zlamal .

In 2010 he designed the trailer for the FMX ( International Conference for Animation, Effects, Games and Digital Media ) in Stuttgart.
His multi-award-winning animated film Chancellor of Heroes deals with Engelbert Dollfuss in a satirical way for the first time .
His short film Die Telefonbuchpolka takes a humorous look at the life and work of the songwriter and composer Georg Kreisler , who died in 2011 . From 2011 to 2014 he directed the third season of the international TV series Hexe Lilli together with Conrad Tambour and Johannes Schiehsl .
In 2016 he and his team designed the animation opening sequence for the Tom Tykwer film A Hologram for the King . At the end of 2018 his first graphic novel about the architect Karl Schwanzer appeared in bookshops.
