Bernard Mabula

Bernard Mabula (* 1920 in Bugoda , Tanzania ; † February 24, 2007 ) was Bishop of Singida in Tanzania.

Life

Bernard Mabula was ordained a priest on August 15, 1952 . On January 9, 1969 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Tabora and titular bishop of Fidoloma . The Archbishop of Tabora , Marko Mihayo , donated him episcopal ordination on May 4th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Karema , Charles Msakila , and the Bishop of Mwanza , Renatus Lwamosa Butibubage .

On March 25, 1972, he was appointed bishop in the newly founded diocese of Singida . In 1999 his resignation was granted by John Paul II .
