Bernd Grose

Bernd Anselm Grose (* 1933 in Berlin ; † January 29, 2019 ) was a German architect and university professor .

Life

Bernd Grose's family moved from Berlin to Krumbach in Swabia after the end of the war . After graduating from high school in Günzburg , he studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich from 1951 to 1956 and then worked in offices in Duisburg , Saarbrücken and Milan . He founded his own architecture office in Krumbach, at the same time completed a postgraduate course in urban development and spatial planning in Munich in 1968 , and entered the higher technical administrative service of the Free State of Bavaria , most recently as a building officer at the supreme building authority in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior .

In 1971, he received a call to the professor for building construction , architectural drawing , design and urban planning at the University of Augsburg . He was a long-time dean as well as a member of the university senate and the examination board . Grose had a decisive influence on the development of the university and, in particular, the faculty of architecture and construction. In 1995 he retired.

Grose was a member of the Swabian Architects and Engineers Association (SAIV).
