Bernhard Krautter

Bernhard Krautter (born April 26, 1939 in Stuttgart - Hofen ; † January 16, 2018 ibid) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman , cathedral capitular and theologian .

Life

Bernhard Krautter attended the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium Stuttgart , where he graduated from high school in 1958. On July 20, 1963, he was ordained a priest in Rottenburg. He was vicar in Pleidelsheim and Esslingen . In addition to his work as a research assistant at the Weingarten University of Education , he was a student pastor in Weingarten . At the Catholic University of Freiburg he held a professorship for dogmatics and religious education , and was rector and dean of the religious education department. He was chairman of the board of the Catholic Biblical Federation , head of the episcopal education office of the diocese Rottenburg-Stuttgart , secretary of the commissions for education and school as well as science and culture as well as head of the central office for education of the German bishops' conference in Bonn .

Bernhard Krautter was also the author of the series Word-of-God celebrations for all Sundays and festive days, published by the Catholic Biblical Works , and worked as a publisher . a. the magazine of God's people. Bible and liturgy in the life of the community . He is represented with contributions in numerous books and writings.
