Bernhard Rechthien

Bernhard Rechthien (born December 30, 1876 in Rieste , † February 2, 1941 in Bad Vilbel ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and former member of the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic and mayor of Bad Vilbel.

Bernhard Rechthien was the son of the farmer Heinrich Rechthien and his wife Margaretha nee Lutmer. Bernhard Rechthien, who was a Catholic denomination, was married to Auguste Emilie nee Mohr.

Bernhard Rechthien worked as a weaver and in 1909 became an employee of the free trade unions. In the same year he became managing director of the German Textile Workers Association in Bielefeld . In 1914 he moved to Worms as a workers' secretary .

Bernhard Rechthien was Mayor of Bad Vilbel from 1919 to 1928. From 1928 to 1933 he was district director of the Friedberg district . From 1919 to 1931 he was a member of the state parliament.
