Bernhard Seidenath (born November 8, 1968 in Erlangen ) is a German politician ( CSU ).

education and profession

education

After his graduation in 1988 he performed until 1989 his military service in Panzerartilleriebataillon 115 in Neunburg vorm Wald and was "For exemplary fulfillment of military duties" by the then Defense Minister Stoltenberg with the Medal of Honor of the Bundeswehr excellent.

Seidenath joined the CSU in 1989 and was deputy chairman of the CSU local association Erlangen-Süd from 1991 to 1997. In addition, from 1993 to 1997 he was chairman of the Erlangen district association of the CSU's defense and security policy working group (WPA). From 1995 to 1997 he was also deputy chairman of the WPA district association for Middle Franconia. In his home community in Haimhausen he was CSU local chairman between 2001 and 2013. He has been CSU district chairman in Dachau since 2011 . He is a member of the board of directors of the CSU district association of Upper Bavaria. Since June 2015 he has been the district chairman of the health policy working group (GPA) of the CSU in Upper Bavaria.

Mandates

He has been a local councilor in Haimhausen since 2002 and a district councilor and deputy chairman of the CSU district parliamentary group in Dachau since 2008. Since 2008 he has been a member of the state parliament for the constituency of Dachau ( constituency of Upper Bavaria ). Between 2008 and 2013 he was a member of the state parliament's committees for social affairs, family and work as well as for questions of the public service and was spokesman for the CSU state parliamentary group for bioethical issues. Since 2013 he has been the spokesperson for health and care policy for the CSU parliamentary group and since 2018 chairman of the health and care committee of the Bavarian parliament.

Honorary positions

In April 2013, Bernhard Seidenath was elected district chairman of the Bavarian Red Cross - Dachau district association.
