Bernhard Wille

Bernhard Wille is a former German cyclist who was active in the GDR in the 1950s .

Bernhard Wille was only known as a road racing driver. He worked in the Mansfeld Hüttenkombinat "Wilhelm Pieck" and competed in his races for the company sports association (BSG) Stahl Eisleben . He achieved his most important success with the GDR tour in 1951 . In 1950, he won the famous one-day race around the Hainleite . As a member of the activist sports association , he started out as an outsider, but won the stage racethanks to a good tactical behavior of his team. On the following GDR tours, Wille drove for the Stahl sports association. In 1952 he reached seventh place, in 1953 he had to give up prematurely. At the GDR road championships, he was never able to place in the top ten.
