geography
course
The Bernshauser Bach rises in the south of the Rothaargebirge on the eastern roof of the Ederkopf-Lahnkopf ridge . Its source is on the northeast flank of the compass ( 694.1 m ) at an altitude of about 595 m above sea level. NHN . From there it turns in a predominantly northeastern direction through a wooded valley. It takes its first tributaries just a few hundred meters below its source. A little further down the stream the forest thins out and the forest gradually becomes an open meadow valley. On the right-hand side, two small tributaries now flow from the Laykopf to it. A little further on, it passes Bernshausen, where on the left side it picks up a small tributary coming from the approximately 570 meter high Wiedhuck . From now on it flows parallel to Kreisstraße 38 without taking up any further tributaries. After crossing under highway 718, it makes a curve to the north, and finally flows about 161 m southwest of the hamlet of Laibach , at an altitude of about 381 m into the Lahn tributary Banfe, which comes from there from the southeast .
