Berseba is a village in the Berseba constituency of the same name in the ǁKaras region in southern Namibia .
Berseba is located 25 kilometers south of the Brukkaros ( 1590 m ) in the area of the Fish River . Berseba is one of the few places where you can find the famous blue ground , the mother earth of South African diamonds. In 1898 a diamond was found in the area, test drilling for crude oil was carried out in 1900 and 1929 without any industrially exploitable deposits being documented.
Historically, Berseba was the headquarters of the Berseba-Nama . In 1850 the place received a mission and its current name. Today Berseba is also home to the district administration and an airfield.
