Until 1969, Berzbuir-Kufferath was a municipality in the Düren district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Today Berzbuir-Kufferath is a district of the city of Düren in the district of Düren .

Berzbuir-Kufferath consists of the two villages Berzbuir and Kufferath , which are located in the southwest of the Düren urban area and are about one kilometer apart. The two villages now belong to the Düren district of Lendersdorf-Berzbuir-Kufferath .

history

Since the 19th century Berzbuir-Kufferath formed a rural community in the mayor's office Birgel (from 1928 Amt Birgel ) in the district of Düren. On July 1, 1969, the municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Lendersdorf by the law on the reorganization of municipalities in the Düren district. Lendersdorf in turn became part of the city of Düren on January 1, 1972.
