The school is located in the Frankfurt Ostend education center in the immediate vicinity of the new ECB building and the Dr. Hoch's Conservatory .

The federal specialist class for investment fund managers is located at the Bethmannschule . Traditionally, the focus of the Bethmannschule is on training banking and industrial clerks.

history

Frankfurt's outstanding importance as a central banking center and well-known industrial location is closely linked to the history of the Bethmannschule. In 1989, all trainees in the Frankfurt banking industry attended the Bethmann School, which, with 1,850 bank clerks, ranked third behind Hamburg and Munich . The Frankfurt industry trained a total of 1030 industrial clerks, of which in 1989 around 850 attended the Bethmann School.

The Bethmannschule has existed in its current form since 1985. The origin goes back to the commercial vocational school IX (1945-1958) in Frankfurt am Main. From 1958 to 1968 the industrial clerks (Commercial Vocational School 5 to 1963, Georg-Hartmann School until 1968) and the bank clerks (Commercial Vocational School 6) were divided into two schools. In 1968 the industrial and bank clerks reunited in the commercial vocational school 3, which was renamed Bethmannschule in 1985.
