Bettina Engelhardt (born March 25, 1971 in Magdeburg ) is a German actress .

biography

Bettina Engelhardt was the third child of a geologist and a physiotherapist and grew up with her older siblings in Magdeburg . After graduating from high school in 1989, Bettina Engelhardt studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . During her studies she played theater in Berlin ( Leonce and Lena ) and Weimar ( Midsummer Night's Dream ).

After completing her studies, she engaged Frank Baumbauer in 1993 in the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Hamburg , where she worked for seven years. She then moved to Zurich with Christoph Marthaler's team and played at the Schauspielhaus Zurich . In 2001 she moved to Munich and worked as a freelance actress at the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . During this time she turned u. a. with Andreas Senn D.IK hunting for Virus X , made the acquaintance of Hans-Christoph Blumenberg , who cast her as a political reporter in the Chancellery , was seen in an episode of the Danni Lowinski series and played theaters in Munich, Zurich and Düsseldorf.

Engelhardt and her family moved to the Ruhr area via Berlin (2002–2004). She was a member of the ensemble in Essen (2005-2010) and then at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (2010-2018).

Today she is a freelance actress and plays in international productions (Diamante, directed by M. Pensotti) at the Triennale and the Wiener Festwochen.

Engelhardt is a lecturer in acting at the Folkwang University in Bochum.

She lives in Essen and Berlin.
