Beverly Grant

Beverly Grant (born September 25, 1970 ) is a former Jamaican sprinter .

She achieved her greatest successes as a relay runner. At the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1993 in Toronto , she won together with Deon Hemmings , Cathy Rattray-Williams and Sandie Richards in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:32:32 minutes ahead of the US team. In the 4 x 100 meter relay , she won the silver medal at the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 together with Beverly McDonald , Merlene Frazer and Juliet Cuthbert with a time of 42.10 s. In 1999, Grant finished fifth with the Jamaican 4-by-400-meter relay at both the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi and the outdoor World Championships in Seville .

As an individual starter, she achieved her best results at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, where she won the silver medal in 1997 and the bronze medal in the 100-meter run in 1999. At the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1999 , she finished seventh over the same distance.
