Sandie Richards
Sandie Richards (born November 6, 1968 in Clarendon Parish ) is a Jamaican athlete who won the 2001 world champion in Jamaica's 4 x 400 meter relay and won the silver medal at the 2000 Olympic Games and bronze in 2004. In the 400-meter run she became indoor world champion in 1993 and 2001.
Her best time was 49.79 s, achieved in 1997 at the World Championships in Athens. In 1998 she was named Jamaica's Sportswoman of the Year .
Sandie Richards had a competition weight of 61 kg with a height of 1.70 m. She ended her career after the 2004 Olympic Games. She is a sociologist by profession, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin .
