Anastasia Le-Roy (born September 11, 1987 in Manchester Parish ) is a Jamaican sprinter .

Athletic career

Anastasia Le-Roy gained her first international experience at the 2004 CAC Junior Championships in Coatzacoalcos , where she won the bronze medal in the 200-meter run in 23.71 seconds and won the Jamaican 4-by-100-meter relay in 44, 85 s. At the CARIFTA Games in Bacolet the following year, she won the 4 x 400 meter relay and won the silver medal over 400 meters in 55.19 seconds. He then retired from the Pan American Junior Championships in Windsor in advance and won the silver medal in 3: 36.99 minutes with the relay. In 2006, he won the 4 x 100 meter relay at the CARIFTA Games in Les Abymes in 44.91 seconds and won the silver medal over 200 meters in 23.54 seconds. She also won gold and silver in these disciplines at the CAC Junior Championships in Port of Spain . She qualified for the Junior World Championships in Beijing , where she was sixth in the 200 meters in 23.88 s and won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay in 44.22 s. In 2007 she took part with the relay in the Pan American Games and was fourth in 3: 28.74 min. She also started at the World Championships in Osaka in the run-up to the 4 x 400 meter relay and thus contributed to winning the silver medal for the Jamaican relay.

In 2008 she won the U23 NACAC championships in Toluca de Lerdo with the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 27.46 min and won with the 4 x 100 meter relay and in the 400 meter - Run for the silver medal. At the CAC Championships in Havana in 2009 she won the silver medal with the relay in 3: 34.02 min and was fourth with the 4 x 100 meter relay. In addition, she was eliminated from the individual competition in the first round. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara 2011 she reached the semi-finals over 200 meters, in which she was eliminated with 23.68 s. In addition, she did not reach the goal with the 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2013 she won the bronze medal over 400 meters at the Student World Games in Kazan in 51.72 s and took part in the relay at the World Championships in Moscow , where she was disqualified in the preliminary stages.

At the IAAF World Relays 2014 in the Bahamas, she finished second with the 4 x 400 meter relay and won the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 3: 23.82 minutes. Then she won the Pan American Sports Festival in Mexico City in 51.28 s over 400 meters. In 2015 it was used in the preliminary stages of the World Championships in Beijing and was also awarded the gold medal after winning the final. At the IAAF World Relays 2017 , it was used in the 4 x 200 meter relay, but again only in the run-up, while the relay was victorious in the final with a different line-up. Also at the World Championships in London , she was only used in the relay competition in the run-up . In 2018 she was disqualified with the relay at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham and won the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast with the relay in 3: 24.00 min. In addition, she secured the silver medal over 400 meters behind Amantle Montsho from Botswana with a new best of 50.57 seconds . In the summer she won the silver medal at the NACAC championships behind the United States with the Jamaican relay in 3: 27.25 minutes.
