Kerstin Walther
Kerstin Walther (born April 15, 1961 in Altenburg ) is a former German athlete who won the gold medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay race at the 1983 World Championships with the GDR relay (3: 19.73 min; together with Sabine Busch , Marita Koch and Dagmar Rübsam as well as Ellen Fiedler and Undine Bremer in advance ).
At the Junior European Championships in 1979, Kerstin Walther had won the titles over 100, 200 meters and with the 4 x 100 meter relay. In 1983 she became the GDR hall champion over 200 meters. Kerstin Walther started for the SC DHfK Leipzig . With a height of 1.75 m, her competition weight was 65 kg.
