Michelle Burgher (born March 12, 1977 in Kingston ) is a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .
She won two Olympic medals with the Jamaican 4-by-400-meter relay . When winning a silver medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , however, it was only used in the qualifying round. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens she won the bronze medal together with Novlene Williams , Nadia Davy and Sandie Richards .
Burgher also won the silver medal with the relay at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo . She gained further international success at the Central American and Caribbean Championships as winner in 2001 and runner-up in 2003 in the 400-meter run. At the CARIFTA Games in 1996, she won the 400-meter hurdles and took second place over 400 m.
Michelle Burgher studied at George Mason University and Clemson University .
