Demetria Washington (born December 31, 1979 ) is an American athlete whose specialty is the 400-meter run .
Sporting successes
Washington took part in the World Athletics Championships in 2001 and 2003 , but missed the final in the 400-meter individual competition.
Washington celebrated her greatest success at the World Championships in Paris in the 4 x 400 meter relay : Together with Me'Lisa Barber , Jearl Miles-Clark and Sanya Richards , she won the gold medal in front of the teams in 3: 22.63 minutes from Russia (3: 22.91 min) and Jamaica (3: 22.92 min).
