Bezzecca is a fraction of the municipality of Ledro in the valley of the same name in Trentino . Bezzecca had 593 residents on December 31, 2008.

After a referendum on November 30, 2008, the former municipality merged with the municipalities of Pieve di Ledro , Molina di Ledro , Concei , Tiarno di Sopra and Tiarno di Sotto to form the new municipality of Ledro.

history

On July 21, 1866, the Battle of Bezzecca took place near Bezzecca , in which Garibaldi's troops were victorious against the Austrians. Garibaldi wrote his telegram Obbedisco (I obey) in Bezzecca .

In May 2010 the parliamentary leader of Bezzecca (Prosindaco) was elected together with the municipal council and mayor of Ledro.

The territory of the municipality changed twice in the course of its existence: in 1928 the municipalities of Enguiso, Lenzumo, Locca and Pieve di Ledro were incorporated; In 1952 the areas of these former municipalities were spun off again and the two municipalities Pieve di Ledro and Concei were formed.
