Tiarno di Sopra is a fraction of the Italian municipality Ledro in the Ledro valley of the same name in the province of Trento . Tiarno di Sopra has about 976 inhabitants.
After a referendum on November 30, 2008, the former municipality merged with the municipalities of Bezzecca , Concei , Molina di Ledro , Pieve di Ledro and Tiarno di Sotto to form the new municipality of Ledro.
In May 2010, a parliamentary group leader (Prosindaco) was elected together with the local council and mayor.
In Tiarno di Sopra, the road to the Tremalzopass branches off from state road 240, not far from the village is the Ampolasee biotope , which has its own visitor center.
