Bhuvan Shome ( Hindi : भुवन सोम , Bhuvan Som ) is a Hindi - Comedy of Mrinal Sen from the year 1969th
action
Bhuvan Shome is a lonely middle-aged widower who works as a dedicated government employee for the Indian Railways . He's also a strict and fanatical boss who didn't even hesitate to fire his own son from his job.
Train conductor Jadhav Patel is concerned that Bhuvan Shome has announced his arrival and that he will receive a bad report for demanding bribes from passengers.
Shome plans to travel to Saurashtra in Gujarat to hunt ; not just big game, but birds. He has no practical experience, but has read about it. He gets up at four in the morning and takes a wild ride on a local's ox cart to the remote hinterland. He survived an attack by a buffalo, which turned out to be harmless in retrospect, and made the acquaintance of the village beauty Gauri. He is unsuccessful in hunting birds. Gauri gives him tips and helps him hunt ducks in the sand dunes of Saurashtras. He manages to shoot at least one duck, which he takes with him.
In Gauri's house he discovers the photo of the train conductor Patel and is disappointed to find out that Gauri is engaged to him. He finally rejects his initial plan to fire Patel because Gauri has brought him close to the simple and happy life in the country and he does not want to prevent the two from getting married.
The tough and fanatical Bhuvan Shome becomes a lovable person who now appreciates the simple things in life thanks to the humiliating but exhilarating experiences one day.
