Biagio Coppa

Biagio Coppa (born March 16, 1965 ) is an Italian jazz musician ( saxophone , composition ).

Live and act

Biagio Coppa has been engaged in jazz and improvised music based on Afro-American forms of play since 1996, u. a. with M-Base music, especially that of Steve Coleman , as well as Ornette Coleman's Harmolodic concept. Since 1997 he has been the artistic director of Flight Band , a non-profit music education organization. With the Flight band came together with Claudio Fasoli album Birth of the Cool: Driving Out . In 2005 he recorded his debut album Anastomosi , which featured Ralph Alessi , Matt Mitchell , Drew Gress and Shane Endsley . With Nate Wooley , Cory Smythe , Trevor Dunn and Tyshawn Sorey , he created his album Antagonisti Androgeni in 2009 .
