The Bieber is a 3.1 km long orographically right tributary of the Hoppecke in the southeastern urban area of Brilon .

geography

The brook rises about 800 m east of Brilon-Wald also at an altitude of 569  m above sea level. NHN . Flowing in predominantly north-north-easterly directions, the Bieber flows after 3.1 km without touching localities at 413  m above sea level. NHN on the right in the Hoppecke. The estuary is about 200 m south of the Pulvermühle location, which belongs to the Gudenhagen-Petersborn district. The difference in height between the source and the mouth is 156 m, which corresponds to an average bed slope of 50 ‰.

The course of the Bieber lies in the Hoppecke - Diemel - Bergland nature reserve . In the lower reaches of the Bieber flows in the nature reserve Mittleres Hoppecketal , which protrudes along the stream into the aforementioned landscape protection area.
