Bijiachang Menhuan
Bijiachang Menhuan ( Chinese 毕 家 场 门 宦 , Pinyin Bìjiāchǎng ménhuàn ) is a branch of the Khufiyya - Menhuan , one of the four major Islamic schools in China. His Qubba (Ch. Gongbei, the sanctuary of the sacred domed building over the grave of school founder) is located in Bijiachang west of the city Linxia of Autonomous Prefecture Linxia Hui in the northwest China province of Gansu , the name of the school which is derived.
The school's founder, Ma Zongsheng 马宗生 or 'Abd-ul Rahman (1639–1719), had Persian ancestors. In his childhood he learned Arabic in a mosque in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province . He later became an Akhund there and then Imam of the mosque. Then he went to Linxia in Gansu and became a senior Akhund of a mosque. In 1673 he went to Xining in Qinghai to learn from Apak Hodscha , the famous Islamic scholar and leader of the Aqtaghliq (Chinese Baishan pai , a Naqschbandi order ) in Xinjiang , and accepted the Khufiyya belief. After returning to Linxia, he began his missionary work. He advocated that the various schools of Islam respect each other, no matter how different they were, and that they did not reject others or fight with people of other faiths.
This school had no conflicts with other schools and even allowed its followers to build mosques with believers from other schools and to hold services together. The question of succession is regulated by inheritance. Believing this school are mainly about Linxia , Hezheng and Lintan in the province of Gansu , Songpan County in the province of Sichuan and Xiji Autonomous Region Ningxia of Hui scattered.
