Bill Lawrence (born William Van Duzer Lawrence IV December 26, 1968 in Ridgefield , Connecticut ) is an American producer , screenwriter and director of television series .

Life

Bill Lawrence was born in Ridgefield, Connecticut in 1968, where he spent most of his childhood. 1990 graduated from Lawrence graduated creative writing at the "College of William and Mary" in Williamsburg ( Virginia ) with the aim of a writing career. Lawrence moved to California and began writing scripts for a living.

Lawrence co-developed the hit series Chaos City in 1996 with Michael J. Fox and Gary David Goldberg and later wrote screenplays for The Nanny , Friends and Das Leben und Ich . In 2001 he realized his idea of a hospital - sitcom called Scrubs - The Beginners .

On November 27, 1999, he married Christa Miller , who appeared in the series Scrubs Jordan, the ex-wife of Dr. Cox, played. Between 2009 and 2015 he produced the series Cougar Town , in which she also starred. They have three children together.

Guest appearances in Scrubs

When Isabella was born in the episode "My Baby and His Baby", he was sitting in the waiting room when Elliot told everyone that the baby was born. In "My Supporting Actors" he is queuing for Coffee Bucks when Jordan joins Dr. Mickhead says she hopes he gets cancer from the sweetener. In the episode "My Bahamas 2" he performs the marriage ceremony as Van. When JD leaves the hospital at the end of the episode "My Finale", he played a janitor who removes the banner from the entrance. He says goodnight to JD when he sees him. In “My Future” you can see him in a dream sequence with a teddy bear in the background. At the wave he is the first keeper with a red shirt. In the early days of Scrubs, he has several appearances in the background that you only recognize when you take a closer look.
