Bios (also spelled BIOS ) is a science fiction film by Miguel Sapochnik that is due to hit German cinemas on October 8, 2020 and US cinemas on April 16, 2021. In the film, Tom Hanks plays a man named Finch, the last surviving human on earth, who creates an android to keep him and his dog company.

It was directed by Miguel Sapochnik and written by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell . This landed on the blacklist of Hollywood's best unfilmed ideas in 2017 .

The shooting took place in different locations in New Mexico , whereby the Albuquerque Studios were used as a base. Filming locations include the White Sands National Monument , known for its white gypsum sand dunes, the cities of Santa Fe , Shiprock , Los Lunas and Socorro . Filming ended in May 2019. The Belgian Jo Willems acted as cameraman .

The film music was composed by Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla .

The film is due to hit German cinemas on October 8, 2020 and US cinemas on April 16, 2021.
