Birger Mörner
Count Birger von Mörner , (also Birger Moerner ) pseudonym Aráfi (born May 3, 1867 in Nora , † March 10, 1930 in Flen ), was a Swedish diplomat.
Birger Mörner was the son of a pharmacist. He graduated from high school in Norrköping and studied law at Uppsala University and Lund University . In Lund he passed the legal state examination in 1893 and then became a trainee lawyer at the Göta court in Jönköping , then assistant at the Reich Office for Trade, Industry and Shipping and at the Ministry of Civilizations. From 1899 Mörner was consular officer, first in Helsinki , then in South Shields , Copenhagen and Constantinople . From 1906 to 1910 Mörner was the Swedish consul in Sydney . He was married and the father of Magnus Mörner .
Not least because of his job, Mörner traveled a lot and was active as a journalist. He published his literary works mostly under the pseudonym Aráfi , under which he is also listed in the Swedish writer lexicon .
