Birgit Fischer (singer)

Birgit Fischer (born November 25, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German pop singer and lecturer in singing . Her singing voice is also known from international TV advertising.

Career

Fischer studied popular music at the pop course at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater , as well as systematic musicology . She trained in pop singing at the Hamburg Singer Academy and took private lessons in New York.

In 1997 she won first place at the John Lennon Talent Award with her band Motorsheep . In 1998 she was signed to the record company Motor Music , which released the single "The little Dancer" and presented it on MTV . In 1999 the album "Come to play forever" was released, which spanned a stylistic arc from alternative rock, electronic fairy tales to ballads with the London Session Orchestra . Despite a promising start and numerous positive reviews, the band broke up in 2001. Fischer's career as a soloist began. Birgit Fischer has been a studio singer since 1994 and has been one of the voices in German TV advertising since 1998. She sang for the brands Telekom , Dr. Oetker , Mercedes-Benz , Fa, Nivea , Perwoll, Ferrero , Vodafone , smart and Volkswagen in over 300 commercials. After 1999 Birgit Fischer was also active as a live singer for several gala and jazz bands in Germany and Scandinavia for 8 years. Since then she has been a lecturer in pop singing and gives workshops.
