Birgitta Kleinschwärzer Master

Birgitta Kleinschwärzer-Meister (born May 25, 1969 in Munich ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and university professor.

Life

After studying mathematics and theology in Munich, which she graduated with the state examination in 1994, she worked as a scientific coordinator at the DFG graduate school "The concept of experience in European religion and the theory of religion and its influence on the self-image of non-European religions" from 1995-2000. In 2000 she did her doctorate under Peter Neuner with a thesis on theology of the sacraments following on from Karl Rahner's theology .

This was followed by work as a research assistant at the Center for Ecumenical Research at the LMU Munich and her habilitation in 2006 with a thesis on the subject of the doctrine of justification . In 2006 she was appointed junior professor at LMU. She also acts as a mentor for the training facility for Orthodox theology at LMU.
