Birch birch

Birkende Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Bjerge Herred in what was then Odense Amt , then to Langeskov Municipality in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Kerteminde Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

1722 inhabitants live in the parish, 605 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Birkende Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Marslev Sogn in the north-west, Kølstrup Sogn in the north-east, Rynkeby Sogn in the east and Rønninge Sogn in the south, further in the neighboring Odense municipality Davinde Sogn to the west and in the neighboring Nyborg municipality Ullerslev Sogn to the east .
