Bischofsholer Damm is the name of a centuries-old street in Hanover that leads from Braunschweiger Platz to Bischofshol in the direction of Bemerode in today's Bult district .

history

The old road to the Bischofshol forester's house in southern Eilenriede was first officially designated "Bischofsholer Weg" in 1830 during the reign of the Kingdom of Hanover , before it was given its current name in 1845. The street originally began at what is now Marienstraße in the southern part of the city , before the street section that began there was renamed Am Südbahnhof in 1924 due to its location .
