The Diocese of Amparo (Latin Dioecesis Amparensis , Portuguese Diocese de Amparo ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Amparo in the state of São Paulo .

history

The diocese of Amparo was established on December 23, 1997 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ecclesiae universae from cedings of the Archdiocese of Campinas and the Diocese of Limeira . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Campinas as a suffragan .
