Hambüchen is a district of the city of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Hambüchen is in the north of Wipperfürth on the Neyetalsperre . Neighboring towns are Hasselbick , Großblumberg , Meddenbick and Harhausen . The Hambüchener Bach rises on the western edge of the village .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidates of the electoral district 02 (020) Sanderhöhe and Wolfsiepen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1484 the court was first mentioned under the name Haembuochen in the church accounts of the Protestant parish of Hückeswagen . On the Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715, Hagenbücken consists of a courtyard. The topographical survey of the Rhineland map from 1825 names Hahnenbüchen and shows three separate floor plans in an enclosed courtyard. On the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844 the place name is Hagenbüchen . With the map ( Prussian New Admission ) from 1894 to 1896, the name Hambüchen , which is common today, is used.
