The Bistum Arua ( lat. : Dioecesis Aruaensis ) is in Uganda preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Arua .
history
The diocese Arua was on June 23, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. Erected from territory ceded by the Gulu diocese . On February 23, 1996, the diocese of Arua gave parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Nebbi .
The diocese of Arua is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Gulu as a suffragan .
