The Diocese of Bungoma ( lat. : Dioecesis Bungomaënsis ) is in Kenya situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Bungoma . It includes the counties of Bungoma and Busia .

history

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Pari ut passa on April 27, 1987 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Kakamega and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Nairobi as a suffragan diocese.

On May 21, 1990, it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Kisumu .
