The diocese Criciúma ( Latin Dioecesis Criciumensis , Portuguese Diocese de Criciúma ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Criciúma in the state of Santa Catarina .

history

The diocese of Criciúma was established on May 27, 1998 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Sollicitus de spirituali from cession of territory from the Diocese of Tubarão and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Florianópolis as a suffragan .
