history

The diocese Cruz del Eje was on August 12, 1963 by Pope Paul VI. erected with the papal bull Ecclesia Christi from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Córdoba and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On January 25, 1980, the diocese of Cruz del Eje gave parts of its territory to the establishment of the Territorial Prelature Deán Funes .
