The diocese Daltonganj ( lat. : Dioecesis Daltonganiensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Daltonganj .
history
Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Supremi Ecclesiae on June 5, 1971 from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Ranchi , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan .
On April 1, 1995, it lost part of its territory to the Hazaribag diocese .
