The diocese of Dungu-Doruma ( Latin Dioecesis Dorumaensis-Dunguensis , French Diocèse de Doruma-Dungu ) is in the Democratic Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Dungu .

history

The Diocese of Doruma-Dungu was founded on February 24, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Qui cotidie from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Niangara as Apostolic Prefecture Doruma . On September 26, 1967, the Apostolic Prefecture Doruma was by Pope Paul VI. with the Apostolic Constitution Haud multum raised to the diocese. The diocese of Doruma was renamed the Diocese of Doruma-Dungu on July 3, 1970 .

The diocese of Doruma-Dungu is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Kisangani as a suffragan .
