The Roman Catholic Diocese of Eluru ( lat. : Dioecesis Eluruensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Eluru .

history

The diocese of Eluru was on December 9, 1976 by Pope Paul VI. erected with the Papal Bull Dubitantes from cessions of territory of the Vijayawada diocese . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Visakhapatnam as a suffragan .

The diocese of Eluru includes in the state of Andhra Pradesh located district West Godavari district and talukas Amalapuram , Kothapeta , Mummidivaram and Rajole in the district of East Godavari district .
