The Bistum Loikaw ( lat. : Dioecesis Loikavensis ) is an in Myanmar preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Loikaw .

history

The diocese of Loikaw was established on November 14, 1988 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Catholica Ecclesia from cessions of territory from the diocese of Taunggyi . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Taunggyi as a suffragan .
