The Roman Catholic Diocese of Maiduguri ( Latin Dioecesis Maiduguriensis , English Diocese of Maiduguri ) is in Nigeria situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Maiduguri .

history

The diocese Maiduguri was on June 29, 1953 by Pope Pius XII. Apostolic Constitution Rem Nos facere established from cession of territory of the Apostolic Prefecture Jos as Apostolic Prefecture Maiduguri . On June 7, 1966, the Apostolic Prefecture Maiduguri was by Pope Paul VI. raised to the diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Id semper .

The diocese of Maiduguri is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Jos as a suffragan .
